Melissa joined Coughlin Duffy as an Associate in 2018 and concentrates her practice in the areas of insurance and complex litigation matters in New Jersey and New York state and federal courts. 

Prior to joining Coughlin Duffy, Melissa worked for several years at Kennedys CMK where she represented insurance companies, international shippers, and business owners in insurance coverage matters and complex commercial disputes.

While pursuing her law degree, Melissa served as the Executive Editor of Rutgers Law Review, and her commentary was selected for publication (Their Blood, Their Sweat, Whose Problem?: Insurance Coverage Implications of the NFL Concussion Litigation, 68 Rutgers U. L. Rev. Commentaries 63). In addition, Melissa served as a judicial intern to the Honorable Nancy Sivilli, Superior Court of New Jersey. At graduation, Melissa received the Chief Justice Richard J. Hughes Award, which is given to the student who has achieved the best record in New Jersey practice courses throughout law school.
